Bloffy Terms of Service

  • Announced: 2026-10-20
  • Effective: 2026-10-20

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Bloffy (the "Company", "we") and members in connection with the use of the blogging service Bloffy (the "Service") that we provide.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. Member: a person who has agreed to these Terms and created an account.
  2. Workspace: the unit in which a member creates and manages blogs. Each workspace has one workspace admin.
  3. Blog: a public site created inside a workspace. It has an address in the form <blog address>.bloffy.blog, and a member can connect a domain they own (a "custom domain") to it.
  4. Blog member: a member who, at the invitation of the workspace admin, writes on or manages a blog.
  5. Post: text, images, HTML, CSS, and other material a member has uploaded to the Service. This includes drafts that have not been published.
  6. Visitor: a person who views a blog without an account.
  7. Tier: the set of usage conditions applied to a workspace (number of blogs, members, and languages, available features, and so on).
  8. Operations Policy: the detailed operating standards for these Terms (types of operator actions, procedures, and so on) that we post in the Service.

Article 3 (Posting and Changing the Terms)

  1. We post these Terms in the Service.
  2. We may change the Terms to the extent that doing so does not violate applicable law. When we do, we announce the change at least 7 days before it takes effect; for changes that are unfavorable to members, we announce at least 30 days in advance and also notify each member individually at their sign-up email.
  3. When we announce a change, we also state that "if you do not express your refusal by the effective date, you are deemed to have agreed." A member who does not express refusal by the effective date and continues to use the Service is deemed to have agreed to the change. A member who does not agree may delete their account.
  4. Matters not covered by these Terms follow the Operations Policy and applicable law. If the Operations Policy differs from these Terms, the Terms prevail.

Article 4 (Notices to Members)

  1. When we have something to tell a member, we notify them at their sign-up email.
  2. For notices to all members, we may post the notice in the Service for 7 days or more instead of notifying each member individually. However, matters that significantly affect members are notified individually.
  3. If a member does not receive a notice because they did not keep their email address up to date, we are not responsible for any resulting disadvantage.

Article 5 (Sign-up)

  1. Only people aged 14 or older may sign up for the Service.
  2. Sign-up is complete once you enter your email, password, and name, agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and finish email verification. You cannot create a blog before verifying your email.
  3. We may refuse sign-up in the following cases, or restrict use if we learn of them after sign-up.
    • Signing up using someone else's information or false information
    • Signing up again to evade a suspension (Article 16)
    • Repeatedly deleting an account and signing up again within a short period
    • Any other case that violates the law or these Terms

Article 6 (Provision and Changes of the Service; Tiers)

  1. We provide features such as writing, publishing, and managing blogs, multilingual translations, visitor analytics, and custom domain connection.
  2. Depending on a workspace's tier, we may provide different numbers of blogs, members, and languages, and different available features (custom domains, design editing, script output, detailed analytics, and so on). What each tier includes is posted in the Service. If a tier is lowered, blogs, members, and languages already created are kept; only creating new ones is restricted.
  3. The Service is currently provided free of charge. During the beta period, the beta tier applies to all workspaces. When tiers change at the end of the beta, or when we introduce paid services, we set the fees, payment, and refund terms separately and notify members at their sign-up email at least 30 days before they take effect.
  4. We may change or discontinue all or part of the Service as operational or technical needs require. In such cases we announce it in advance; if unavoidable circumstances exist, we may announce it afterwards. If we shut down the entire Service, we announce it at least 30 days before the shutdown date and notify members at their sign-up email.
  5. The Service may be temporarily interrupted due to equipment maintenance, failures, suspension of a telecommunications carrier's service, natural disasters, and the like.
  6. Unless applicable law specifically provides otherwise, we do not separately compensate for changes to or discontinuation of the Service.

Article 7 (Rights to the Service)

  1. The rights to the software, designs, themes, trademarks, and other elements that make up the Service belong to the Company. Members' posts are excluded.
  2. Members have only the right to use the Service under these Terms, and may not transfer, sell, or lend their account or any other status in the Service to another person, or offer it as collateral.

Article 8 (Rights to Posts)

  1. The copyright in a post belongs to the member who wrote it. However, cases under Article 9 follow that Article.
  2. Members grant us permission to use their posts to the extent necessary to provide the Service. This includes the following.
    • Displaying posts on the blog and caching and transmitting them
    • Providing a post's address, title, summary, and representative image to search engines, feeds, social media previews, and the like
    • Converting images to fit screen sizes and formats
  3. Members may make a post private or delete it at any time. When a member deletes a post, the permission in paragraph 2 ends with it. However, copies we cannot immediately control, such as caches already created or search engine indexes, take time to disappear.

Article 9 (Posts Uploaded to Someone Else's Workspace)

  1. When a member, as a blog member, uploads a post to a blog that belongs to another member's workspace, the rights and responsibilities for that post belong to that workspace admin, regardless of whether the post is public. The same applies to drafts.
  2. Even if a blog member leaves the blog or deletes their account, the post is not deleted and remains on the blog. The author is shown as "Deleted user". If there are posts you do not want to leave behind, you must delete them yourself before leaving the blog or deleting your account.
  3. If a workspace admin deletes their account or deletes the workspace, all blogs and posts within it are deleted together, including those written by blog members. Blog members are not separately notified in this case.

Article 10 (Responsibility for Posts)

  1. Responsibility for posts published on a blog lies with the admin of the workspace that the blog belongs to. However, this does not exempt the member who uploaded the post from any responsibility they bear under the law.
  2. We do not review posts in advance, and we do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of posts.

Article 11 (Reporting Rights Infringement and Temporary Measures)

  1. A person whose rights have been infringed by a post — such as invasion of privacy, defamation, or copyright infringement — may explain the infringement to trust@bloffy.co and request that the post be deleted, that access to it be blocked, or that a rebuttal be published.
  2. On receiving a request, we take the necessary measures without delay in accordance with applicable laws such as the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (정보통신망 이용촉진 및 정보보호 등에 관한 법률) and the Copyright Act (저작권법), and we notify both the requester and the member who published the post.
  3. If it is difficult to determine whether rights have been infringed, or a dispute between the parties is expected, we may temporarily block access to the post for up to 30 days. Within that period, the member who published the post may ask us at trust@bloffy.co to restore it.
  4. Even without a report, we may take the same measures as in paragraph 3 against posts for which there are grounds to recognize rights infringement, or which violate the law or these Terms.

Article 12 (Blog Address)

  1. A blog address is 3 to 63 characters of lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. We may reserve addresses needed to operate the Service so that they cannot be used.
  2. When a blog is deleted, its address immediately becomes available to other members.
  3. Reclaiming dormant blogs: If a blog that has not been approved for search visibility publishes no posts for 60 days and its workspace admin does not sign in for 30 days, we may send a reclaim notice. If no intent to continue using the blog is expressed within 14 days of the notice, we may reclaim the blog address.
  4. No creating blogs to hold addresses: Blog addresses are for publishing posts. Creating a blog for the purpose of occupying an address with no intention of writing — such as creating several empty blogs, or grabbing addresses that others are likely to use — is prohibited. We may delete such blogs and reclaim their addresses, and in this case we may skip the period and notice procedure in paragraph 3.

Article 13 (Search Visibility)

  1. A newly created blog is allowed to appear in search engines after our review. Until reviewed, the blog is set so that it does not appear in search engines even if it is public.
  2. We may refuse or revoke search visibility for blogs that harm the trust of the Service as a whole, such as spam, low-quality, or rights-infringing blogs.

Article 14 (AI-Generated Posts)

You may upload posts written with the help of AI tools. However, mass automated generation without human review, and repeated posting aimed at manipulating search rankings, fall under the prohibited acts in Article 15.

Article 15 (Prohibited Acts)

Members must not do any of the following.

  1. Using someone else's information or registering false information, or using another member's account or password
  2. Publishing posts that infringe others' copyright, trademark, or other rights
  3. Publishing information prohibited by law, such as obscene material, illegal gambling, or drugs, or media harmful to minors
  4. Defaming others, collecting or disclosing personal information without authorization, or harassing others through stalking or similar conduct
  5. Publishing spam, mass or repeated posts, or posts and links aimed at manipulating search engines
  6. Impersonating another person, organization, or company (including the Company's operators)
  7. Distributing malware, phishing, interfering with the operation of the Service, accessing it by abnormal means, or placing excessive load on the Service's equipment
  8. Creating blogs to hold addresses with no intention of writing (Article 12, paragraph 4), or hoarding, buying, or selling blog addresses, or grabbing them to cause confusion
  9. Filing the reports in Article 11 falsely or maliciously and repeatedly
  10. Any other act that violates applicable law or the Operations Policy

Article 16 (Restrictions on Use)

  1. If a member violates Article 15, we may take the following actions depending on the severity of the violation. The types of actions and their procedures are posted in the Operations Policy.
    • Revoking search visibility
    • Unpublishing or deleting posts
    • Hiding or deleting blogs
    • Suspending the account
  2. As a rule, actions become heavier as violations are repeated. However, for clearly illegal information prohibited by law, or conduct that causes urgent harm to others, we may immediately take the heaviest action regardless of any prior record.
  3. We notify the member of the reason for the action at their sign-up email. However, if a violation of the law is clear or the matter is urgent, we may notify them afterwards or not at all.
  4. A member who disagrees with an action may appeal to trust@bloffy.co. We review the appeal and lift the action if we find the objection justified.
  5. While an account is suspended, signing in and using the Service are restricted. Whether the blog stays public is decided by a separate action.
  6. If a member violates these Terms and causes us damage, we may claim compensation for that damage.

Article 17 (Operator Access to Accounts)

  1. Our operators may access a member's workspace with the same view as that member, to the extent necessary to handle inquiries, reproduce failures, or investigate violations of these Terms.
  2. Each access is limited to 30 minutes, and who the operator was, and when and which account they accessed, is kept in the operator action records.
  3. We do not use information learned through this access, such as private posts and settings, for purposes other than those in paragraph 1, nor disclose it externally.

Article 18 (Account Deletion)

  1. Members may delete their account at any time from account settings. For a suspended member, we process the deletion upon request to trust@bloffy.co.
  2. Account deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. Before deletion, you review the blogs and posts that will be erased and confirm once more.
  3. When an account is deleted, the following happens.
    • The workspaces the member administers, and all blogs and posts within them, are immediately made private and permanently deleted within 30 days.
    • Custom domain connections are disconnected immediately.
    • Blog addresses immediately become available to other members.
    • Posts uploaded to other members' workspaces remain in accordance with Article 9.
  4. After deletion, you may sign up again with the same email, but previous data is not restored.

Article 19 (Account Management)

  1. Members are responsible for managing their own password, and may not transfer or lend their account to others.
  2. If a member learns that their account has been stolen or is being used by someone else, they must immediately change their password and, from account settings, sign out other devices or notify us.
  3. Members are responsible for disadvantages arising from their own negligence in managing their account. This does not apply where the cause is our intent or negligence.

Article 20 (Damages and Disclaimer)

  1. If a member suffers damage due to our intent or negligence, we compensate in accordance with applicable law.
  2. We are not liable in the following cases. This does not apply where we acted with intent or gross negligence.
    • We cannot provide the Service for reasons beyond our control, such as natural disasters or suspension of a telecommunications carrier's service
    • Disruption to use of the Service is caused by reasons attributable to the member
    • Damage arises from failures or policy changes of third-party services beyond our control (domain registrars, search engines, social media, and the like)
    • Damage arises from a third party illegally accessing our servers or distributing malicious programs
  3. We do not guarantee search engine rankings or visitor numbers, and we are not liable if a member fails to earn the revenue they expected from using the Service.
  4. We do not guarantee the reliability or accuracy of posts written by members, and we have no obligation to intervene in disputes that arise through the Service between members, or between a member and a third party.
  5. Unless applicable law specifically provides otherwise, we are not liable in connection with the use of services provided free of charge.

Article 21 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. Disputes relating to use of the Service are brought before the court that has jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act (민사소송법). If the member's address or residence is outside Korea, the Seoul Central District Court of the Republic of Korea is the court of jurisdiction.
  3. These Terms are written in Korean. Versions in other languages are translations provided to aid understanding; if a translation differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.

Addendum: These Terms take effect on 2026-10-20.
